NAPSBO is a nonprofit organization founded in 2016 that support the band programs of independent schools across the North Alabama area.
We are musicians and professors with 20 collective years of experience in performance, instructing and elevating music talents in our students. By facilitating new experiences and providing new opportunities, the primary goal is to support the private school band programs. We host an Honor Band every year and it is comprised of students from independent area middle schools and high schools. The 2025 NAPSBO Honor Band is February 7th-8th.
Students who participate in honor bands are exposed to challenging music, incredible experiences, and they can help pave the way for success when preparing for college scholarship auditions. The NAPSBO Honor Band is an event developed to recognize the achievements of exceptional high school and middle school musicians.

Here is a reminder and information for the North Alabama Private School Band Organization (NAPSBO) honor band auditions. Remember, auditions are due by the end of day on Monday, January 27.
In order to place students in chair order for the Honor Band, we request that each student submit a Chair Placement Recording by Monday, January 27.
This year, the audition will be a portion of the Technical Etude ONLY!
